| "Dear Francois,
Another trip that was organized and managed by you and your team that was a fantastic experience. Again, everything went seamlessly and two and a half weeks flew by. I thoroughly enjoyed re-visiting Bung Sam Lan and Ratchaburi and trying out your carp venue for the first time. I became hooked on fly fishing which I never imagined I would ever do and as well as catching many of my favourite adversaries again, I caught and ticked seven new species off my wish list, several of which were "on the fly".
However, the highlight of the trip was our jungle trip. It was remote - an hour and a half by speedboat away from civilization. The lifestyle was very basic - living on floating bamboo rafts moored on the water, sleeping on sand-filled mattresses under mosquito nets on the floor of a thatched hut, washing in the reservoir and eating the wonderful produce freshly gathered from the jungle. The fishing was unlike anything I've ever experienced before - from learning to balance on the narrow boats when casting, then mastering the retrieve technique for the top-water lures, to following the shoals of Snakehead fry and trying to provoke a take from the protective parent and then trying to suppress the natural reflex to jump and fall overboard when the surface water near to the boat suddenly explodes when the fish finally launches itself at the lure.
And then there was the scenery! Being paddled along and exploring all the islands, bays and rivulets with the background changing from dense green foliage to dead tree stumps and vast limestone cliffs with dark caves with the trees seemingly rooting into the bare rock. Seeing the monkeys in the trees and hearing their calls echoing around.
It was just breath-taking. It was a true angling adventure in Thailand and an experience I would recommend to everyone. Thank you for letting me share it with you."
